Closing September’s Chapter

In all the excitement of Blogtober, I almost forgot to reflect on September. In all honesty, there isn’t too much to say anyway (!) as I have already talked about the stories and films I have been watching.

But last weekend, my mum held her own MacMillan Coffee morning, and it was so fun I thought I would share the pictures with you.

Everyone was very generous and we had mountains of cake to get through. Don’t they look fabulous?

In total we raised over £300! A huge accomplishment and a well spent day.

We were very busy for the first couple of hours, until we filtered down to me, my mum, dad, brother and our families closest friends. These are the people I have spent the most happiest moments of my life with, and I would choose them all to be my family over and over.

Every time we’re together we’re laughing. Recently rewatching Gavin and Stacey, I realise we’re in our own condensed little sitcom – our own story all intertwined together. Part of me gets goosebumps when I think about the stories I could write based on us!

But for now at least: that’s our corner of the world, our portraits on the wall of happy home.

So I guess, overall, I can write September of as a really great month!
